ブリット・アワーズ、開催を3ヶ月延期
英国レコード産業協会が主催する同国のメジャー音楽アワーズ＜BRIT Awards＞は、通常毎年2月に開催されているが、新型コロナウイルスの影響を受け、2021年は5月に開かれることが決まった。
完全なライブ・セレモニーを目標としており、アーティスト、オーディエンス、スタッフらの安全とロジスティック面を考慮し、音楽業界および授賞式の提携企業であるMastercard、ITV、AEGと相談した上、決断を下したという。5月11日に開催し、例年通り、ITVから生中継する予定。候補作の適格期間にも変更が生じるという。

また、9月に予定されていた同じく英国の音楽アワーズ＜アイヴァー・ノヴェロ賞＞は、今年は授賞式を開かないと告知した。受賞者の発表は変らず9月に行なうという。
アメリカでは、2月にアメリカで開催予定だったアカデミー賞も今月、2ヶ月延期することを発表している。現時点、グラミー賞は変更しておらず、1月31日に開催する意向だという。
