キッスのジーン・シモンズ「ワクチンのおかげで俺は元気だ」
新型コロナウイルスに感染し、療養中のキッスのジーン・シモンズが、ワクチンのおかげで元気だと報告した。
彼は水曜日（9月1日）、滞在中の部屋の写真をTwitterに投稿し、「隔離中（ワクチンのおかげで俺は本当に元気だ。尋ねてくれてありがとう）、警備員がこのコミックを持ってきてくれた。コミックブック・ストアのウィンドーに飾られていたそうだ。KISS Comics Monthly！ 手に入れろ！」とつぶやいた。
また、「ワクチン接種していて、それでもCOVIDに感染」というTwitterユーザーのつぶやきに、「ジョー、ワクチンは君を95％くらい守る。しかしながら、それでもデルタ株には感染する可能性がある。俺がそうだった……でも、ワクチンを2回接種していたら、影響は最小限だ。ワクチンなし＝病院、痛み、そして死もありえる。リサーチしてみろ。より賢くなれる」と返信している。

北米ツアー中のキッスは、ポール・スタンレーに続き、ジーン・シモンズが感染したことから、8月26日から9月5日までに予定していた7公演を延期。現時点、9月9日に再開することになっている。
すでに回復したスタンレーは水曜日、「休め!! 医師からの指示だ。俺ら、9月9日にツアーを再開できる。もう数日、人には近寄らない。俺の“自由”のためなら、他人の健康を危険にさらすことも厭わないと考えるかって？……俺はそうじゃない」とつぶやいた。
