パール・ジャム、ジェフ・アメンも感染で北米ツアー残りの2公演を中止

パール・ジャムは、ドラマーのマット・キャメロンに続きベーシストのジェフ・アメンが新型コロナウイルスに感染したため、北米ツアーの残り2公演（5月18、20日）を中止すると告知した。
バンドはカリフォルニア州サクラメントでの公演を予定していた18日、感染対策に万全を期していたつもりだったが、その日の朝受けた検査でアメンが陽性だったと伝え、コンサートの中止を謝罪した。
彼らは、先週、キャメロンが陽性判定を受けた後、ゲスト・ドラマーたちを迎え3公演を行ってきた。16日の公演では、それまでの2公演で代理を務めたツアー・メンバーのジョシュ・クリングホッファーと、アメンの長年のコラボレーターRichard Stuverudに加え、1990～1991年に在籍したオリジナル・ドラマーのデイヴ・クルーセンがゲスト出演した。
フロントマンのエディ・ヴェダーはその夜、「ファースト・アルバム（『Ten』）は多くの人に影響を与えたようだ。でも、当時ドラムをプレイしていた俺らの友人が、ライブでプレイした期間はかなり限られていた。今週、その埋め合わせができそうだ」と話しており、残りの2公演にもクルーセンが参加するものと考えられていた。
パール・ジャムはこの後、9月に新たな北米ツアーを開催する。

(2/4) they now have to present the heartbreaking news that this morning bassist Jeff Ament has tested positive for Covid.
This is horrible for everybody involved and we are especially sorry to those out there who have made plans to attend these shows.
