3月12日に米ロサンゼルスで開催される第95回アカデミー賞で、歌曲賞の候補に挙がっている映画『RRR』の主題歌「Naatu Naatu」がライヴ・パフォーマンスされることが発表された。

映画のサウンドトラック同様、インド出身のシンガー、ラーフル・シプリガンジとカーラ・バイラヴァがパフォーマンスする。

「Naatu Naatu」はChandraboseが作詞、M・M・キーラヴァーニが作曲し、歌曲賞では、映画『私たちの声』の「Applause」（ダイアン・ウォーレン）、『トップガン マーヴェリック』の「Hold My Hand」（レディー・ガガ、ブラッドポップ）、『ブラックパンサー／ワカンダ・フォーエバー』の「Lift Me Up」（テムズ、リアーナ、ライアン・クーグラー、ルドウィグ・ゴランソン）、『エブリシング・エブリウェア・オール・アット・ワンス』の「This Is A Life」（Ryan Lott、デヴィッド・バーン、Mitski）と競う。

授賞式ではこのほか、リアーナが「Lift Me Up」を、ソフィア・カーソンとダイアン・ウォーレンが「Applause」を、デヴィッド・バーンとステファニー・スー、サン・ラックスが「This Is A Life」をパフォーマンスする予定となっている。
