メタリカ、ジェイムス・ヘットフィールドの依存症治療によりツアー延期
メタリカは金曜日（9月27日）、来月、スリップノットと開催予定だったオーストラリア／ニュージーランドでのツアーを延期すると発表した。フロントマンのジェイムス・ヘットフィールドが依存症の治療を受けるためだという。
バンドは、ラーズ（・ウルリッヒ）、カーク（・ハメット）、ロブ（・トゥルージロ）からのメッセージとして、こうつぶやいた。「本当に申し訳ないが、この先予定していたオーストラリア、ニュージーランドでのツアーを延期しなくてはならないと、ファンや友人たちに伝えねばならない。多分、君らの大半は知っているだろうが、俺らのブラザー、ジェイムスは長年、断続的に依存症と闘ってきた。彼はいま、残念なことに、再び立ち直るため、治療プログラムを再開せざるを得なくなった。健康面とスケジュールの面で可能になったらすぐに、俺ら、君たちの場所へ向かうつもりだ」
公演に向け、旅行の計画を立てていた人たち、不便をかけたファンたちへ謝罪した。ヘットフィールドの健康状態について詳しい説明はなされていない。

メタリカは今月6、8日にサンフランシスコで、サンフランシスコ交響楽団と共演する＜S&M²＞公演を開いた。
一緒にオーストラリア／ニュージーランド・ツアーを行なう予定だったスリップノットから、まだコメントはなされていない。
