ポール・マッカートニー、ファッツ・ドミノを追悼
ポール・マッカートニーが、今週火曜日（10月24日）亡くなったロックンロール・レジェンド、ファッツ・ドミノを追悼する声明を出した。
「RIP ファッツ・ドミノ、偉大なロックンロール・ピアニスト＆シンガー、リバプールで僕らがスタートした頃、僕らをワクワクさせてくれた人。“Ain’t That A Shame”“Blueberry Hill”“I’m In Love Again”、他にもたくさんある彼のヒット・レコードは、ニューオーリンズのロックンロール・サウンドを僕らに紹介してくれた。彼の故郷ニューオーリンズで、ファッツに会ったときは興奮した。彼はダイアモンドを散りばめた巨大な星型の腕時計をつけていて、僕らがそんなド派手なものに出くわしたのは、あれが初めてだった！ 彼の声、ピアノの演奏、音楽スタイルは、僕らに多大な影響を与え、映画『The Girl Can’t Help It』に出演したときの彼は本当に素晴らしかった。僕のお気に入りのロックンロール・シンガーの1人として、僕は彼のことを親愛の情を持って記憶に留め、あのキラキラした瞳と共に彼を思い出す。彼には8人の子供たちがいたと聞いた。彼の名がAntoineで、彼の子供たちはAntoine III、Anatole、Andre、Antonio、Antoinette、Andrea、Anola、Adonicaだ。まさに生粋のファッツだ！」

また、ブライアン・ウィルソンは「僕が子供のころ、ラジオから流れるのはファッツ・ドミノの曲だらけだった。彼は偉大なシンガー＆ピアノ・プレイヤーで、彼の音楽は永遠に残る」と、追悼した。
