全英シングル・チャート、エルトンとエドのクリスマス・ソングが2週目の1位
今週のUKシングル・チャートは、エルトン・ジョンとエド・シーランがコラボしたクリスマス・ソング「Merry Christmas」が2週連続で1位に輝いた。
今週は7位まで、先週と順位が変わらず、アデルの「Easy On Me」が2位、ワム！の「Last Christmas」が3位、マライア・キャリーの「All I Want For Christmas Is You」が4位、ゲイルの「abcdefu」が5位、シェイキン・スティーヴンスの「Merry Christmas Everyone」が6位、ザ・ポーグス＆カースティ・マッコールの「Fairytale Of New York」が7位をキープした。
今週も先週同様、1位の「Merry Christmas」をはじめ、「Last Christmas」「All I Want For Christmas Is You」「Merry Christmas Everyone」「Fairytale Of New York」に加え、ブレンダ・リーの「Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree」（8位）、マイケル・ブーブレの「It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas」（10位）と7曲のクリスマス・ソングがトップ10入りした。
トップ40圏内には計24曲のクリスマス・ソングがチャート・インしており、これはUKチャート史上クリスマス前では最多だという。

アルバム・チャートはトップ3が先週と変わらず、アデルの『30』が4週連続で1位を獲得し、エド・シーランの『＝』が2位、ABBAの『Voyage』が3位をキープした。今週新たにチャート・インした作品の中で最高位につけたのは、ポール・ウェラーがオーケストラと共演したライヴ・アルバム『An Orchestrated Songbook』で4位をマーク。そのほか、ジュース・ワールドの『Fighting Demons』が8位に初登場している。
