ジャクソン・ブラウン、ジャネット・ジャクソンらのアルバム、米議会図書館が永久保存
米議会図書館（Library of Congress）は今週水曜日（3月24日）、2021年新たに永久保存する“文化的、歴史的、もしくは芸術的に重要”な25の録音物を発表した。
音楽では、ジャクソン・ブラウンのアルバム『Late for the Sky』（1974年）、ジャネット・ジャクソンの『Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814』（1989年）、パット・メセニーの『Bright Size Life』(1976年)、ナズの『Illmatic』（1994年）、ルイ・アームストロングの「When the Saints Go Marching In」（1938年）、ラベルの「Lady Marmalade」（1974年）、クール＆ザ・ギャングの「Celebration」（1980年）、『セサミストリート』のカーミットが歌う「The Rainbow Connection」（1979年）などが国家保存重要録音登録制度（National Recording Registry）に登録されることとなった。

国家保存重要録音登録制度（National Recording Registry）は2000年に設立され、毎年25の録音物が加えられている。
