ジューダス・プリースト、50周年を記念し初の公式本『50 HEAVY METAL YEARS』出版

ジューダス・プリーストがこの冬、結成50周年を記念し、初のオフィシャル・ブック『Judas Priest – 50 HEAVY METAL YEARS』を出版する。

648ページある卓上用大型豪華本で、バンドの歴史を振り返る。これまで公開されていなかった写真が多々収められているという。

ギタリストのグレン・ティプトンは「俺らはメタルのヴィジュアル・イメージの先陣を切り、そこに新しい息吹を吹き込んできた。この本にそれが捉えられている」と、フォトグラファーの1人、ロス・ハルフィンは「僕は1978年から現在に至るまでジューダス・プリーストを撮り続けてきた。僕が関わってきた中で、彼らは最も楽しいバンドの1つだ。巨大なプリーストは愛さずにはいられない」とコメントしている。

価格はスタンダード・エディションで79ポンド（約1万1,000円）。グレン・ティプトン・パーキンソン・チャリティ・エディション（195ポンド／約2万7,000円）、デラックス・レザー・ボックス・サイン・エディション（250ポンド／約3万5,000円）、エピック・ウルトラ限定レザー＆メタル・エディション（495ポンド／約7万円）の4種類があり、出版社Rufus Rock ‘n Roll Publishingのサイト（rufuspublications.com/rufusbooks/judaspriest）で9月11日から予約を受け付ける。クリスマス前に配送するそうだ。
