メタリカのジェイムズ・ヘットフィールド、ヴィンテージ・カーの本を出版
メタリカのフロントマン、ジェイムズ・ヘットフィールドが、ヴィンテージ・カーの本『Reclaimed Rust: The Four-Wheeled Creations of James Hetfield』を出版する。

本では、ヘットフィールドの生涯にわたる情熱──古い車を芸術の域にまで復元、カスタマイズする──が自動車写真家Scott Williamsonにより記録されているという。7月28日に出版され、現在、メタリカのオフィシャル・オンライン・ストア（www.metallica.com/store）にて予約を受け付けている。192ページある卓上用大型サイズで価格は50ドル（約5,400円）。
また、ヘットフィールドのサインが入る限定のデラックス版（300ドル／約3万2,000円）も発売し、水曜日（6月17日）、ヘットフィールドがそれを開ける動画が公開された。彼は、この本を「この数十年、俺が作り、組み立ててきた車のアート・ブックだ」と表している。
ヘットフィールドは昨年夏、彼のカスタムメイド・カー・コレクションから10台を米ロサンゼルスにあるピーターソン自動車博物館へ寄付し、博物館では今年2月からヘットフィールドの車に加え、ギター、メモラビリアなども展示する特別展覧会＜Reclaimed Rust: The James Hetfield Collection＞を開いている（新型コロナウイルスの影響でしばらく閉館していたが、今週、再開予定）。
