カニエ・ウェストのスニーカー、史上最高額の1億9千万円で売買
カニエ・ウェストがナイキとコラボ・デザインしグラミー賞で履いたスニーカー、Nike Air Yeezy 1プロトタイプが、180万ドル（約1億9,500万円）で売買された。昨年、61万5,000ドル（約6,700万円）で落札されたマイケル・ジョーダンのNike Air Jordan 1sを破り、スニーカーとしては史上最高額を記録した。
この売買（プライベート・セール）を仲介した競売会社Sotheby’sは、「スニーカーが100万ドルを上回るのは初めて」ともコメントしている。
カニエのサイズに合わせ作られた試作品で、彼は2008年に開催された第50回グラミー賞授賞式でパフォーマンスしたときにこれを履いていた。レアなシューズに投資するインターネット・プラットフォームRARESが、ニューヨーク在住のシューズ・コレクターRyan Chang氏から購入したという。
カニエとナイキは、2009年、2012年、2014年にAir Yeezy 1、Air Yeezy 2を発売した。カニエはその後、ナイキを離れアディダスとコラボしている。
