フー・ファイターズ、ブリット・アワーズで初パフォーマンス

英国最大級の音楽賞＜Brit Awards＞が、来月ロンドンで開かれる授賞式で、フー・ファイターズがパフォーマンスすることを発表した。
彼らはこれまでに最優秀インターナショナル・グループ、最優秀インターナショナル・アルバムを計4回受賞しているが、授賞式でプレイするのはこれが初となる。

授賞式は2月21日、コメディアン／俳優のJack Whitehall司会のもとロンドンのO2アリーナで開催。各部門の候補は今週土曜日（1月13日）に発表される。最優秀男性ソロ・アーティストのカテゴリーでは、ノエルとリアムがそれぞれ候補に挙がり、ギャラガー兄弟の対決が見られるのではと予想されている。
＜Brit Awards 2018＞ではすでに、期待の新人へ贈られるCritics’ ChoiceアワードをJorja Smithが、ブリティッシュ・プロデューサー・オブ・ザ・イヤーをSteve Mac（エド・シーランの「Shape Of You」リアム・ペインの「Strip That Down」ピンクの「What About Us」など）が受賞することが決まっている。今年のトロフィーは現代彫刻家のアニッシュ・カプーアがデザインした。
