Sound Of 2018、第3位発表
英国の公共放送局BBCが水曜日（1月10日）、2018年活躍が期待される新人のリスト＜Sound Of 2018＞で第3位に選ばれたアーティストを発表した。
トップ3に入ったのは、英国マンチェスター出身の21歳の女性シンガー、IAMDDBだった。7、8歳のころから曲を作り始めていたという彼女は、ネオ・ソウル、アーバン・ジャズ、ヒップホップ、R&Bを融合したサウンドにディープでソウルフルなヴォーカルが光り、詞やプロデュースの面でも高く評価されている。また、インデペンデントでいることにこだわり、契約は交わさないという強い意思の持ち主だ。

＜Sound Of 218＞は今週月曜日（1月8日）から告知が始まり、5位にPale Waves、4位にKhalid、3位にIAMDDBが発表されてきた。今年は彼らのほか、Alma、Billie Eilish、Jade Bird、Lewis Capaldi、Not3s、Nilufer Yanya、Rex Orange County、Sigrid、Sam Fender、Superorganism、Tom Walker、Yaeji、Yxng Baneが候補に挙がっており、この中から木曜日（11日）に第2位、そして金曜日（12日）に今年最もブレイクが期待される新人の名が明かされる。
