先月終わり、新型コロナウイルスに感染し入院したマリアンヌ・フェイスフル（73歳）が、無事、退院した。彼女は検査結果が陽性だったのを受け、3月31日にロンドンの病院に入院。肺炎が発症したと伝えられていた。

マリアンヌのTwitterは水曜日（4月22日）、こんな朗報をもたらした。「Covid-19の症状に苦しみ入院してから22日間が経ち、マリアンヌが今日退院したと伝えることができ、私たちは本当に嬉しく思っています。彼女はロンドンで静養を続けます」

「マリアンヌは、皆さんから届いた心優しいメッセージに感謝しています。多くの人たちがこれほど困難な時期にある中、とても大きな意味がありました。彼女はまた、入院中彼女を介護してくださったNHS（英国の国営医療サービス）のスタッフに非常に感謝しております。間違いなく、彼女の命を救ってくださいました」

『ハリー・ポッター』シリーズの作家J・K・ローリングは、シャンパンと花束の絵文字を付けこのツイートをシェアし、スパンダー・バレエのゲイリー・ケンプ（G）からは「良かった。おだいじに、マリアンヌ！」とのメッセージが寄せられている。

We are really happy to say that Marianne has been discharged from hospital today, 22 days after being admitted suffering from the symptoms of Covid-19. She will continue to recuperate in London.
