ポール・マッカートニーとエド・シーラン、英女王より勲章授与
英国のエリザベス女王の誕生日に合わせ、叙爵・叙勲一覧Queen’s Birthday Honours Listが発表され、ポール・マッカートニーにOrder of the Companions of Honour、エド・シーランとエミリー・サンデーにMBE（Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire／大英勲章第5位）が授与されることが明らかになった。
名誉勲位Order of the Companions of Honourは今回、マッカートニーほか、『ハリー・ポッター』シリーズの作家J.K.ローリング、インテリア・デザイナーのテレンス・コンラン、料理研究家のデリア・スミス、指揮者のマーク・エルダー、バレエ・ダンサーのベリル・グレイらへも贈られる。
マッカートニーは1965年にMBEを、1997年にナイトの爵位を授与している。シーランとサンデーは音楽と慈善活動への貢献を称えられた。
