ボブ・ディラン、スティング、ビョーク、ランディ・ニューマンらがオスカーのベスト・ソングを争う
Bob Dylan、Stingらが’01年度アカデミー賞授賞式でしのぎを削る。DylanとStingの2人はベスト・ソング部門にノミネートされており、DylanはMichael Douglasの映画『Wonder Boys』の“Things Have Changed”で、StingはDavid Hartleyと共に、Walt Disneyのアニメ『Emperor’s New Groove』の“My Funny Friend And Me”で争う。
同部門にノミネートされているのは他に、Robert De Niro/Ben Stillerのコメディー『Meet The Parents』からRandy Newmanの“A Fool In Love”、Bjork、Lars von Trier、それにBjork主演の『Dancer In The Dark』からSjon Sigurdssonの“I’ve Seen It All”、Jorge Calandrelli、Tan Dun、そして中国語のアクション映画『Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon』からJames Schamusの“A Love Before Time”。
Dylan、Sting、Bjorkらにとってオスカーのノミネートを受けたのは今回がはじめて。アカデミー賞授賞式は3月25日（日）午後8時（米東部標準時）からABCで放映される。
