ミック・ジャガー、ブルース・スプリングスティーン、リンゴ・スターらが、ボブ・ディランのノーベル文学賞受賞にお祝いの言葉を述べた。
ミックは「ボブ、ノーベル賞受賞、おめでとう。なんて功績だ！」と、リンゴは「ボブ・ディランのノーベル文学賞獲得を祝いたい。ピース＆ラブ ボブ」とつぶやき、スプリングスティーンは、「ボブ・ディランは我が国の父だ」「彼は僕にインスピレーションと希望を与えてくれた」など、最近出版した自伝『Born To Run』で綴っていたディランへの想いをあらためてオフィシャル・サイトに掲載した。
このほか、ジョージ・ハリスンの遺産管理団体、デイヴ・スチュワート、シンプリー・レッドのミック・ハックネル、スティーヴ・ヴァン・ザント、ビアンカ・ジャガー、そして、バラク・オバマ米大統領、ビル・クリントン元大統領からもお祝いの言葉が発せられた。
オバマ大統領は「僕の大好きな詩人の1人、ボブ・ディラン、ノーベル賞おめでとう。彼はそれに値する」とつぶやいた。
