Kalafinaが、2016年1月20日にライブアルバム『Kalafina 8th Anniversary Special products The Live Album「Kalafina LIVE TOUR 2014」 at 東京国際フォーラム ホールA』をリリースすることが決定した。
本作は、Kalafinaが2016年1月にデビュー8周年を迎えることを記念して制作されるもの。2014年11月1日に東京国際フォーラム ホールAで行なわれた＜Kalafina LIVE TOUR 2014＞のライブ音源21曲が収録される。Kalafinaが、ひとつの公演のライブ音源を丸ごと商品化するのは今回が初。また、同日にはハイレゾ限定で音源の配信がスタートすることが決定している。
