レディオヘッドとザ・ドアーズのアルバム、米議会図書館に永久保存

ザ・ドアーズの1stアルバム『The Doors（ハートに火をつけて）』、レディオヘッドの『OK Computer』、ベン・E・キングの「Stand By Me」、ライチャス・ブラザーズの「You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin」、ローリン・ヒルの『The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill』、スティーヴ・マーティンのコメディ・アルバム『A Wild and Crazy Guy』などが、アメリカ議会図書館のNational Recording Registryで永久保存されることが明らかになった。

同図書館では毎年、“文化的、歴史的、もしくは芸術的に重要”な25の録音物をアーカイブに加えており、2000年にNational Recording Registry設立以来、現在までに400以上を保存している。

昨年は、U2の『The Joshua Tree』、ジェフ・バックリィの「Hallelujah」、リンダ・ロンシュタットの『Heart Like A Wheel』、エヴァリー・ブラザーズの「Cathy’s Clown」などが登録された。

新たにNational Recording Registryに登録される録音物は以下の通り。
