クリスティン・マクヴィー、誕生日に未発表曲公開
昨年11月に亡くなったフリートウッド・マックのクリスティン・マクヴィーの80回目の誕生日（7月12日）に、未発表曲「Little Darlin’」の音源が公開された。
同曲は、彼女が2004年に発表したソロ・アルバム『In The Meantime』制作時のセッションで録音されたもので、12日に配信リリースされた同作のリマスター盤『In The Meantime (2023 Remaster)』に収録されている。オリジナルのアルバムをクリスティンと共同でプロデュースした彼女の甥、ダン・パーフェクトが新たにミックスした。
また、フリートウッド・マックのバンド・メイトだったミック・フリートウッド（Dr）は彼女の誕生日を祝い、ウクレレ奏者のジェイク・シマブクロとコラボし制作した、クリスティン作の名曲「Songbird」のインストゥルメンタル・ヴァージョンを公開した。
この日、フリートウッドは「僕らは、君の美しい80歳の誕生日に君のことを考えている！ このお祝いの日に君がいないのは寂しいが…僕には素晴らしい思い出がいっぱいある！ そして、君の曲がこの日、世界を明るくしている」と、親友だったスティーヴィー・ニックスは「私にはまだあなたの明るい瞳が見える」とつぶやき、クリスティンを偲んだ。
11月にはクリスティンのソロ・アルバム『Christine McVie』（1984年）と『In The Meantime』の2作が、CD、ヴィニール盤でリイッシューされる予定だという。
