パール・ジャム、エディ・ヴェダーが山火事の影響で喉を痛め公演中止

ヨーロッパ・ツアー中のパール・ジャムは、水曜日（7月20日）、オーストリア・ウィーンで予定していた公演を中止すると発表した。週末、記録的な熱波に襲われ山火事が多発しているフランスで野外パフォーマンスを行っていて、フロントマンのエディ・ヴェダーが喉を痛めたという。
バンドはウィーン公演当日、「残酷な知らせで最低のタイミングだ」と中止を告知し、その理由をこう説明した。「1つ前の公演、パリ郊外の野外会場における非常に厳しい状況（山火事による熱、粉塵、煙）が原因で、エディ・ヴェダーが喉を痛めた。彼は医者に診てもらい、治療を受けたが、まだ声帯は回復していない」
バンドは何とか公演を開きたいと尽力し、ヴェダーもパフォーマンスしたがっていたが声が出ない状態だと、突然の中止を謝罪した。
パール・ジャムは日曜日（17日）、パリロンシャン競馬場で開催されたフェスティバル＜Lollapalooza Paris＞に出演していた。次回は金曜日（22日）、チェコでの公演を予定している。

This is brutal news and horrible timing…for everyone involved.
