リック・ウェイクマン、ヨーコ・オノら、アラン・ホワイトを追悼
イエスのメンバーだった名ドラマー、アラン・ホワイトの訃報に多くのミュージシャンから追悼の言葉があがっている。
イエスの元バンド・メイト、リック・ウェイクマンは、「昨日、アランが亡くなったと知り、とても悲しかった。彼は本当に優しい心の持ち主だった…ドラム・キットの後ろにいるとき以外は。そこでの彼はパワフルでクリエイティブだった。ブラザー、寂しくなるよ」と哀悼した。
プラスティック・オノ・バンドでコラボしたヨーコ・オノは、「アラン・ホワイトは素晴らしいドラマーで、‘Imagine’ ‘Instant Karma!’をはじめ、数々の曲のサウンドの根幹だった。彼は常に穏やかで優しく、陽気な人だった。私たちは、彼が私たちのファミリーの一員になってくれたことを感謝していた。Gigi、Jesse & Cassi White；JJ、Ellie & Andreaに愛とお悔やみを」と、弔意を表している。
イエスで活動を共にしてきたジェフ・ダウンズは、「今日、僕は素晴らしいブラザー、友人、この上なく最高にいい奴を失った。ものすごく悲しい。打ちのめされている。これは、42年前、彼のベントレーでポーズを取った僕らだ。アラン・ホワイト、大切な男。バディ、永遠に恋しく思う」と、別れを悲しんでいる。
このほか、スティーヴ・ハケット、ピーター・フランプトン、カール・パーマー、ブライアン・ウィルソン、ビル・ブルーフォードらがホワイトの死を悼んだ。

Alan White was a wonderful drummer who was an essential part of the sound of ‘Imagine’, ‘Instant Karma!’ & more recordings. He was always gentle, kind & good humoured. We were blessed he was part of our family.
