レディー・ガガ、ジェニファー・ロペスら、米大統領就任式でパフォーマンス
現地時間1月20日アメリカの首都ワシントンで開かれた大統領就任式で、レディー・ガガ、ジェニファー・ロペス、ガース・ブルックスがパフォーマンスした。
レディー・ガガは国歌を独唱し、ジェニファー・ロペスはフォーク歌手ウディ・ガスリー作の「This Land Is Your Land（我が祖国）」と「America The Beautiful」のメドレーを歌い上げた。
ガガは歌唱前、「アメリカの人たちに向け国歌を歌うのを光栄に思っています。私は就任式、第45代大統領から第46代大統領へと移行する―転換の時、変化の瞬間に歌うことになります。私にとって大きな意味があります」「私たちの過去を認め、現在の癒しとなり、未来への情熱を抱けるよう私たちが愛を持ち共に取り組む、それが私の意図するところです。この国に暮らす全ての人々の心に届くよう歌います」と、Twitterを通じコメントしていた。
彼女は、平和の象徴であるオリーブの枝をくわえた鳩のブローチを着け、パフォーマンスした。

また、カントリー歌手のガース・ブルックスが「アメイジング・グレイス」を歌い、団結を呼びかけた。
