ケイティ・ペリー、第1子女の子が誕生

ケイティ・ペリーの婚約者、俳優のオーランド・ブルームが、ケイティが女の子を出産したことを明かした。Daisy Doveちゃんと名付けたという。

2人が親善大使を務めるUNICEFは日本時間8月27日、「この世界へようこそ、Daisy Dove Bloom!」と、ケイティとオーランドがDaisyちゃんの手を握る写真を公開し、赤ちゃんの誕生を発表。オーランドもそれを再投稿した。2人は「私たち、娘が無事で健康に誕生してくれて、愛と感嘆に身を任せています」とコメントしている。

彼女たちは、医療従事者が不足し、新生児の命が危険にさらされているコミュニティが世界にはたくさんある中、無事に出産できたのは幸運だったと、そういった状況にある親子を救うため活動するUNICEFを支援して欲しいと訴えた。

ケイティは5月、今週金曜日（8月28日）発表するニュー・アルバム『Smile』から「Daisies」とのシングルをリリースしており、アルバム制作時から名前を決めていたのかもしれない。
