クイーン、英国で記念コイン発売。ミュージシャン・シリーズ初
英国の王立造幣局は、ミュージック・レジェンドの記念コイン・シリーズの発行を発表し、その第1弾となるクイーンのコインを公開、販売を開始した。
中央に“QUEEN”のバンド名が刻まれ、「ブライアン・メイのRed Specialギター、ジョン・ディーコンのFender Precisionベース、ロジャー・テイラーのLudwigベース・ドラム、フレディ・マーキュリーのBechsteinグランド・ピアノ」（＋マイクスタンド）をフィーチャーしたデザインで、ブライアン・メイとロジャー・テイラーから承認されたという。
王立造幣局は、ブライアンとロジャーがコインを手にする画像と、ブライアンからのコメント映像をSNSに投稿。ブライアンは「これは、僕らにとって決定的な“誰がこれを想像できた？”モーメントだ」「このような形で僕らのバンドが認識され、僕らの音楽が称賛されるのはとても感動的、真の栄誉だ」と、話している。

コインはシルバーとゴールド、限定とそうではないものがあり、価格は13ポンド（約1,860円）から2020ポンド（約29万円）まで。王立造幣局のオンライン・ショップ（https://www.royalmint.com/our-coins/events/music-legends/queen/）で購入できる。日本へも配送可能なようだ。
クイーン＋アダム・ランバートは間もなく、1月25～30日に日本ツアーを開催する。
