アリアナ・グランデ、グラミーでのパフォーマンスを辞退した理由を説明
アリアナ・グランデが、日曜日（2月10日）開催される第61回グラミー賞でのパフォーマンス依頼を断った経緯を説明した。
木曜日（7日）、同アワーズのプロデューサーKen Ehrlich氏がAP通信のインタビューで、アリアナに出演して欲しいと願い、何度も話し合ってきたが「彼女は、ショウのために何かをまとめ上げるには遅すぎると感じた」と発言したと報じられると、アリアナはTwitterを通じ、こう反論した。
「ムムム、これ！“彼女にとって何かをまとめるには遅すぎる……”」「私は口を閉ざしてきたけど、あなたは嘘をつくのね。一晩あれば、パフォーマンスをまとめられるわ。それはあなたも知ってるでしょ、Ken。私の創造力と自己表現があなたによって抑えつけられたとき、私は出るのを止めようって決めたのよ。ショウがあなたの望むとおりになりますように」「私は3つの曲を提案したわ。コラボレーション、支援されているっていう想い、芸術と誠実がテーマよ。駆け引きじゃない。便宜をはかるとか、ごまかしじゃない。あなた達、ゲームに過ぎないんでしょ…。ごめんなさいね。でも、私にとって音楽はそういうものじゃない」「これが、みんなが私の決断を理解するのに役立つことを願ってる。それでも今年、認められたことには感謝してる」
