スウェード、9月にニュー・アルバムをリリース
スウェードが9月に8枚目のスタジオ・アルバム『The Blue Hour』をリリースすることを発表した。10月にはUK／ヨーロッパ・ツアーを開催する。
『The Blue Hour』は、2013年の『Bloodsports』、2016年の『Night Thoughts』と続いた三部作の最終章。長年のコラボレーターで前2作を手掛けたEd Bullerに代わり、アラン・モウルダー（ビリー・コーガン『TheFutureEmbrace』、ナイン・インチ・ネイルズ『With Teeth』）がプロデュースした。
フロントマンのブレット・アンダーソンは、新作について「すごく複雑なアルバムで、多様性がある。コーラス、スポークン・ワード、ダイアログなどこれまで使っていなかった要素がたくさんある」と、『NME』にコメントしている。
『The Blue Hour』は、「As One」「Wastelands」「Mistress」「Beyond The Outskirts」「Chalk Circles」「Cold Hands」「Life Is Golden」「Roadkill」「Tides」「Don’t Be Afraid If Nobody Loves You」「Dead Bird」「All The Wild Places」「The Invisibles」「Flytipping」の14曲を収録し、9月21日にリリースされる。

バンドは3月、デビュー・アルバム『Suede』（1993年）の25周年を記念し、ボックス・セットを発売。アンダーソンは自伝『Coal Black Mornings』を出版した。
