ニコ・マクブレイン、イギリス海兵隊のバンドとアイアン・メイデンの楽曲を演奏

アイアン・メイデンのニコ・マクブレインが、3月8日に英国ロンドンのロイヤル・アルバート・ホールで開催された＜第52回 Mountbatten Festival Of Music＞に出演し、イギリス海兵隊のバンド（The Bands Of HM Royal Marines）とアイアン・メイデンの楽曲を演奏した。
彼らは、「The Trooper」「Wasted Years」「Run To The Hills」のメドレーをプレイしたそうだ。アイアン・メイデンとThe Bands Of HM Royal MarinesのSNSでは、そのときの写真や映像を公開。マクブレインがこの日、プレイしたドラム・セットはスペシャル仕様で、1664年から現在までの海兵隊の異なる制服を着た“エディ”が描かれている。このセットは公演後、海兵隊のチャリティー団体とGrand Order of Water Ratsチャリティーの資金調達のため、オークションに出品された。
マクブレインは2年前、同フェスティバルで、海兵隊バンドがプロディジーの曲を演奏するのを観て、感銘を受け、バンド側から「次は何をやりましょうか？」と誘われたとき、即座に共演することに同意したという。
