クリス・ヒルマン、ブライアン・ウィルソンら、デヴィッド・クロスビーを追悼
デヴィッド・クロスビーの訃報を受け、ザ・バーズ時代のバンド・メイト、クリス・ヒルマンが追悼の言葉を送った。
「今日、僕は友人のデヴィッドを失った。彼の美しい声は、人生のダメージをやわらげ、僕らみんなに多くの喜びをもたらした。彼は僕のメンターで、ブラザー、友人だった。僕らが共にした長い旅は、この先ずっと僕の心の中の特別な場所に留まる。デヴィッドと歌えたのは、言葉では言い表せないほどの恩恵だ。神が彼、そして彼の妻Jan、息子Djangoに安らぎをお与えになることを祈っている」
ブライアン・ウィルソンは、「デヴィッド・クロスビーについて聞き、胸が張り裂けそうだという以外、何を言っていいかわからない。デヴィッドは驚異的な才能の持ち主だった。偉大なシンガー・ソングライターだった。そして、素晴らしい人だった。僕は言葉を失っている。デヴィッドの家族と友人たちへ愛と慈悲を」と、デヴィッド・ギルモアは「僕らは共に歌い、共にプレイし、共に素晴らしい時間を過ごした。言葉にならないほど、The Crozのことを恋しく思う。出航」と哀悼している。
このほか、ジョーン・バエズ、パンテラのレックス・ブラウン、ビリー・アイドル、スマッシング・パンプキンズのビリー・コーガン、セバスチャン・バック、メリッサ・エスリッジ、ハートのアン・ウィルソンら、ジャンルを問わず多くのミュージシャンがクロスビーとの別れを惜しんでいる。
